A Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Approach

The hope is that those involved in Interior Design will develop greener and more sustainable initiatives which will offer beauty and style without the damaging consequences to our precious natural environment. The trend is for more utilisation of natural materials like seagrass, bamboo and corn in furniture production and decor details. Innovation in the industry is also creating new materials out of recycled waste products.

Following this lead, our Vida and Aperto rugs have been hand woven out of PET (a polyester fibre made from recycled plastic bottles that looks and feels like wool). We have created these rugs to withstand the elements, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They have a flat weave texture that works well with Coastal and Hamptons style interiors. For large outdoor areas they provide a hard wearing but soft texture underfoot which creates the feeling of a ‘room’ as part of your living space.
